Nov. 3, 2014 – U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin expressed regret Monday for telling Iowa Democrats there is a sense that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst is “really attractive” and “sounds nice,” but she would be the wrong choice for Iowans. Many found Harkin’s comments, seen here, to be ironically sexist and offensive for such a champion of the Democratic Party, given that organizations ongoing and baseless accusations that the Republicans are engaged in a so-called “War on Women”.
