JONI ERNST ON VERGE OF AN HISTORIC VICTORY

Nov. 3, 2014 – If elected to the U.S. Senate on November 4th, State Senator and featured Iowa Values candidate Joni Ernst will become the first woman from Iowa to serve in the U.S. Congress, and in the upper chamber no less.

Ernst will have also scored an historic upset, in that as recently as May 2014, the path to this open U.S. Senate seat (Democrat Sen. Tom Harkin is retiring) was all but a cakewalk for what must now surely be a stunned candidate in Democrat Congressman Bruce Braley.

But, in keeping with the Iowa/farmer theme, we are not quite prepared to count any chickens until they hatch. We are just jumping ahead a bit to anticipate what may prove to be a truly great moment.
